Originating in Europe, more precisely in England, the Parks Movement expanded cultural aesthetics to lift the morals, health, and welfare of the "public", and later, its safety. This comprehensive home study course will set the stage for complementing nearly any architectural style with the appropriate garden design solution. Throughout history in Europe artists, architects and designers have been striving for that unity of house and garden. The course will examine timeless principles of garden design found in France, Italy, Spain, and England and give today's designers and architects the tools to create that perfect balance and unity of house and garden. This home study course focuses on practical information that will encourage and equip designers and architects to think, envision, collaborate, and design beyond current approaches and techniques, while safeguarding the end user's health, safety, and welfare.
