Designed for Professional Success and Personal Fulfillment:
We design courses for professional success and personal fulfillment to reach “A Whole New Mind” as defined by bestselling author Dan Pink.” The future belongs to a different kind of person," Pink says. "Designers, inventors, teachers, storytellers — creative and empathetic right-brain thinkers whose abilities mark the fault line between who gets ahead and who doesn't." Pink claims we're living in a different era, a different age. An age in which those who "Think different" may be valued even more than ever. Design with Joy thinks about and delivers continuing education differently. Discover the difference for yourself!

The purpose of our learning experiences is to communicate emotionally to your right brain (through appealing images) and to your left brain (with our words). Seth Godin identifies four components to a great presentation that Design with Joy incorporates into our learning experiences.

Cue cards - our presentations include narration that ensures we say what we intended to say.
Reinforce not repeat - our graphics reinforce the narration they do not repeat them.
A leave-behind - our presentations, online and face to face include a wealth of resources available for reference after the formal presentation.
Feedback - our presentations include multiple points for informal and formal feedback and assessment.

Design with the Mind, in Mind:

Design with Joy applies research based principles for the online learning courses and seminars. Save Paper, Save a Tree:

According to the environmental site Conservatree, 17 reams of paper can be made from one tree. Design with Joy online learning and seminars are committed to reducing paper consumption and waste. We minimize paper with electronically maintained and distributed records and handouts. For necessary paper consumption, we use recycled paper or paper from sustainable foresting practices. Using 30% post-consumer content copier paper saves 7.2 trees (40 cartons) per ton. We also patronize eco-friendly printers for our marketing; specifying 10 pt. paper stock, consumes 30% less tree pulp than conventional 14 pt. stock. The Printer is also powered by 100% Green Energy from renewable sources.

Reduce Miles Reduce Emissions:
Carbon dioxide emissions are about 40% higher than they were before the Industrial Revolution and at their highest levels in recorded history, covering over 650,000 years. Online learning and multi-purpose journeys are practices in line with our commitment to reduce travel and waste products for a light footprint on the planet. We encourage you to consider combining your trip for a seminar with another trip, or carpool or get it online, see Design with Joy Online Courses.

Conscious Consumption:
Nearly 9 in 10 Americans say the words "conscious consumer" describe them well and are more likely to buy -- if products are of equal quality and price - from companies that:
Manufacture energy efficient products (90%) - Design with Joy supports energy efficient products with each USB drive distributed at our seminars and our use of Green Friendly printers for our postcard mailings.
Promote health and safety benefits (88%) - Design with Joy discusses health and safety and welfare in all courses.
Support fair labor and trade practices (87%) - Design with Joy supports fair labor and trade practices by endorsing the United Nations Global Compact for business practices supporting Human Rights, Labor, the Environment and Anti-Corruption.
Commit to environmentally-friendly practices (87%) - Design with Joy supports environmentally-friendly practices with our commitment to “green” seminar locations and online learning. "For the first time, students have the opportunity to make an environmental impact while at same time receiving a high-quality educational experience," says Doug Jones, spokesman of Worldwide Learning.

Researchers cite that online learning:
Consumed nearly 90% less energy
Produced 85% fewer CO2 emissions
These energy reductions included:
A 92% reduction in travel-related environmental impact
A nearly 50% reduction in paper and print consumption

Creative Prosumers:

The term Prosumers was coined in 1980 by the futurist Alvin Toffler—in his book The Third Wave—as a blend of producer and consumer. Design with Joy respects you as a professional and welcomes opportunities to share your learning experience in our courses, through case studies, projects, testimonials, and / or evaluations.
